"Herman and Mary are one of our favorite Amish families that we work with. Their other special needs child, David, is three years old and he is unable to do anything for himself. He is very sensitive and cries most of the time that he is awake. I think he's a paraplegic. I have never seen a man who is as patient and loving as Herman is with him. He and Mary sing German songs to him and it appears to soothe him. One time jut before Christmas we took some of their baskets and some of his sister's baskets to a Developmental Center where they purchased over $400 of Herman & Mary's baskets. They were so overwhelmed with gratitude, because they truly needed the money. When we take an order to them, they are so concerned about the turnaround time on completing it and they do the best quality work on the baskets that they make out of any other family we deal with. They have a little "out building" on their property by the road that they sell their baskets from, but the road that they live on is mainly used by local residents. The area they live in is about one hour from the tourist Amish Country, so they get almost no visibility unless it is word of mouth."
